Our Process

10 Stages Of Pool Design

Design and Permitting:

We custom design your perfect pool to your exact wants and desires. You will receive a 3D video rendering of your backyard showing every exact detail before starting construction. You will also receive a day by day breakdown of our schedule, so you are always aware of what stage we are at. We will pull the proper construction permits from your local city and get the plans for your pool approved.

Layout and Excavation:

We will walk you through your backyard, showing you the exact layout of your new pool and spa. Once satisfied, we excavate your new pool and spa.

Steel:

We install “steel rebar” to add the strength required for your pool’s Shotcrete shell. We will attach a ground wire to this steel for later use in grounding your pool equipment.

Plumbing and Electrical:

Our expert plumbers and electricians will run the necessary water, gas and electrical lines for your pool. The plumbing lines are pressure tested and the electrical must pass inspection to insure it is up to construction code.

Shot Creet:

The Shot Creet is shot into the steel cage of your pool at high pressure and acts as the foundation for the shell of your pool. This is where you start to see the first vision of your dream pool.

Tile and Coping:

The waterline tile and stone coping around the perimeter of the pool is installed.

Deck:

This is the perimeter area surrounding your pool and we install the unique surface based on your design.

Masonry and Stone:

Our craftsmen masons will install stone finishes and masonry to tie your pool together. Meticulous attention to detail is used to insure proper installation that will last.

Plaster or Pebble Finish:

Depending on your pool design either plaster or pebble finish is applied to the interior of your pool. Our crew insures the surface is smooth, even and free of any imperfections. Once set, your pool can be filled with water.

Pool Start Up:

We require that one of our expert Pool Care Technicians program all pool equipment, add all necessary chemicals and set the filtering schedule. We recommend that you be present to ask any questions and learn as much as you can about your new pool.

Pool Remodel

Artisan Custom Pools not only offers new construction pools, but we also offer pool remodels of your existing pool.

Pool remodeling usually falls into 3 different areas.

Add Pool Features and Enhancements

There are a number of water-features you can add to your pool such as waterfalls, fountain bubblers, deck jets and water slides. You can also expand the size of your pool, add a spa or reshape the entire pool. Another popular option is adding lighting extras such as fiber-optic and LED lights or fire features such as fire bowls.

Remodel Pool Surfaces and Finishes

Your pool’s deck, tile, and stone finishes are the theme of the entire backyard space. As time goes on sometimes these surfaces and finishes need to be retouched or can become dated. Whether you want to change a cement deck to a wood deck, change a plaster finish to a pebble finish, repair old tile that is falling off or anything in between, Artisan Custom Pools can help you restore the theme of your backyard space.

Upgrade Pool Equipment

Thanks to the latest smart phone technology your entire backyard can be operated on your smart device. A great reason for a pool remodel is to make it more energy efficient. Thanks to innovative technology your pool equipment can be both energy efficient and smart. You can save energy and maintain a comfortable swimming pool temperature by installing a smaller, higher efficiency pump and by operating it less. On average, an energy efficient pump will use 30-45% less energy than that of a standard pump.
